I had a day with my “threenager” on Thursday. So so challenging! Not easy for me to hit the “pause button” on my agenda but thankful for God’s grace. “Grumpy mama” sure isn’t a name I want to be remembered by!

Love this so much! I’m right there with you – there are so many other things I would hope my kids remember about me, but me being Grumpy Mom is not one! One of the biggest light bulb moments for me in the whole book is in the introduction “But as I revealed in that special moment, I began to wonder why it had made such an impact on her. Was it really so earth shattering for her to see me smile? Why was she so surprised that she’d made me happy? Didn’t that sentiment come across every day? As I reflected on this scene, I finally made this admission to myself: There’s a slight chance I’ve been grumpier than I thought.”

For me it’s more like grumpy wife lately. Don’t get me wrong, I have definitely had grumpy mom moments, but right now my boys are sick and extra cuddly and sweet so I’m soaking it up. But then when my husband comes home I seem to “save up” all my grumpiness for him. I hate it. I don’t want to do it anymore. It’s not fair to him. Anyone else waiting for “Grumpy wife take a holiday.” to hit the shelves? 🙋🏼‍♀️

Wow yes! I didn’t even think of this – I totally do the same thing on rough days! Thank you so much for sharing this.

Oh man. Grumpy mom makes an appearance in this house almost every day 😣 Taking care if 3 under 5 is no easy feat. The latest grumpy mom moment was just about an hour ago when the older two were trying to watch tv and not lstening when I asked them to clean up their prior mess first. Attempted to not be grumpy when asking them to cleanup but then the not listening/paying attention made grumpy mom visit.
